Client’s IT Department supports staff based in offices and laboratories in the US and Switzerland as well as remote employees. Client’s IT architecture is cloud-first, using a set of integrated SaaS applications to provide a digital workplace for client’s staff. We are looking for an IT Project Manager, Applications (Contract) with experience in Biotech to lead application related projects for the Tech Ops and Clinical Development teams at a fast-growing biotech company.
This is a 12-month contract with possibility of conversion.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for various sized Tech Ops and Clinical Development GxP and Non-GxP IT projects.
- Develops project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
- Performs business process analysis, business requirements gathering as needed
- Facilitates the definition of project milestones, goals, tasks, and resource requirements and development of recommended alternatives
- Creates and maintains project documentation, including preparation for stage gate reviews.
- Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Supervises risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Reports and escalates risks and issues to IT management as needed and leads status update meetings with project team members.
- Helps develop IT Applications project portfolio and roadmap, and handle budget as needed
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus, preferably in the fields of Business, Biology, Computer Science, Information Management or Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT Project Management
- Experience managing projects across a wide range of technologies including software and business process and completed major cross functional projects.
- Understanding of different Project Management principles and methodologies, proficiency with PM tools with at least one Enterprise PM software tool (Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Project/Office Suite, etc.)
- Experience in Pharma/Biotech environment.
- Technical background, detail oriented, with understanding or hands-on experience of software development. Understanding of end-to-end IT delivery and operations.
- PMP certification highly desirable
- Strong experience leading the implementation of GxP systems preferred.
