Senior Business System Analyst


Job Title - Senior Business System Analyst. 

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead all analyst activities around systems implementations from initiation through post- implementation, including requirements definition, cross-functional impact analysis, as well as test planning, training, and implementation planning and execution.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in designing and documenting business process flows and business requirements, re-engineering processes and improving efficiencies.
  • Display proficiency in road-mapping discussions, producing documentation as necessary and communicating risks or issues involved.
  • Drive timely project decision-making working across business and IT stakeholders.
  • Provide situational awareness. Be the first to notice issues and differences, working through ways to resolve or escalate them.
  • Resolve conflicts as they arise, facilitating alternate approaches or discussions to help remedy the situation.
  • Proven ability to educate and communicate with non-technical users about technical functions.
  • Our internal and external customers consist of a mix of technically sound and technically challenged users.
  • Success means being able to connect, communicate and educate all of our people.
  • Ability to ensure deployed features are bug-free while keeping application dependencies in mind.
  • Own the process and strive for continuous improvement to improve efficiencies and the way we deliver value to the business.

Our Requirements
  • 4 – 7 years experience in eCommerce (preferably on Oracle Commerce, AWS platform using micro services or Search products like Lucidworks/Algolia) or Point of Sales IT project and/or program management in either an analyst or technical project manager role.
  • Strong ability to understand technical issues and how to communicate them to non- technical team members and leadership.
  • Strong analytical problem solving and troubleshooting abilities. Proven ability to identify issues/opportunities to reach multiple solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including C-Level and Sr. Management presentations.
  • Excellent project leadership skills, effectively managing concurrent and competing priorities in a complex, high pressure and fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive experience with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas is required: specialty luxury/retail, interior design, customer service.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-changing environment and is both flexible and comfortable working through uncertainties to reach a conclusion.
  • Ability to assess and monitor overall effectiveness of solutions delivered and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of new developments in the customer service and selling space and how they can be leveraged to improve our customer experience.
